Are you looking for powerful ways to handle an attacker? For starters, learning different strategies in the dojo may not be your best option. The latest mixed martial arts ground moves, might not be your best choice either. It’s time for a reality check of the mind, where you learn the truth about what it takes to really survive deadly street attacks.
A majority of the time in a street fight you’ve got a couple of seconds to notice what your attacker is doing. What you hope never happens is a gang jumps on you all at once and that’s what I call a death trap. In a situation like that, almost no one’s going to survive and that’s why I teach to not go into any area where you suspect you will be attacked. To learn street fighting, is to have a warriors mindset at a moments notice and master the element of surprise.
Sometimes it’s overlooking the obvious of not walking down a certain street or jogging down a back road, but people do it every day and they walk right into an ambush. I like to personally gather as much Intel as I can about an area I am visiting or if I’m meeting someone somewhere.
This might sound like being a secret agent, but gathering information about your surroundings can save your life. Even in the movie The Bourne Identity, Jason Bourne scans the area that he’s in and sizes up the people that are around him. More importantly, he always made sure he knew were the exits were located.
It’s just amazing what we can learn from a good movie today, where a man has developed the power of observation. The brilliance of that movie is that Jason Bourne was gathering information and then he knew how to apply it to protect himself. I’m hoping that you will gather the information of your surroundings and take the proper course of action from there.
If you are in a situation where you have no other choice but to fight, then you should know the technique of raising your hands up. This is a technique that I learned from another street fighter a long time ago and it’s extremely effective.
If I am approached by someone I know is trouble, I will raise both of my hands up in the air and say “hey I don’t want any trouble!” This works like a charm because I’m ready to quickly strike the attacker with a devastating eye jab. This is a powerful method that will make the attacker think that you are weak, when what you are really doing is setting the attacker up for a nasty eye jab. If the guy is muscular around the neck, I will not do a throat jab and this is why I like the eye jab so much.
I personally learned from two different kung fu experts and they both taught me the importance of attacking the eyes. Unfortunately, there is not enough room in this article to explain the significance of why or how this all works so powerfully. It may not be possible to avoid every attack in life, but with practice and awareness, you will get better. Remember, the key to mastery is practice.

Traditional martial arts methods might be leaving you feeling annoyed, agitated and bored. This situation is exacerbated by the fact that plenty of black belt martial arts masters would never win in a real world fight on the streets.
Unfortunately many martial arts instructors call themselves masters, but you can only learn street fighting from someone who has done it. It’s this type of fighter who has demonstrated and developed the necessary skills to help you survive a fight in the street. You will be taught how to employ every technique and tip listed in this article. Read on for a list of the techniques which you’ll never learn by simply studying classic martial arts methods.
Deadly street fighting techniques #1: If you have the chance, don’t hesitate to bite your attackers face. If they use their hands or arms to grab close to your face, use your teeth. Every part of the attacker’s body is vulnerable to biting. The attacker’s muscles can be very effective targets, as you can sink your teeth deep into them and cause serious loss of blood. Now the following idea is very important to remember.
Deadly street fighting techniques #2: If you kick your opponent, focus on the lower portions of the body, such as the knees. One hard kick at your attacker’s kneecap can shatter the bone. If you are fighting a larger attacker, aim your kicks at his groin. If your attacker traps you in a tight hug, kick at their chins and stomp down on their feet. There are many ways to injure the lower sections of your opponent’s body and create significant pain. These are the areas to deliver your kicks towards.
Deadly street fighting techniques #3: Rehearse these methods with a partner, and improvise scenarios. Work in a spacious area, and find someone who is willing to attack you as if they were an attacker on the street. By being spontaneous, you can practice your responses to an unprovoked attack more realistically.
Deadly street fighting techniques #4: Gouging at someone’s eyes can be even more effective than delivering a punch during a street fight. When your attacker comes close, your best target is their eyes. You should do anything you can to cause pain to your attacker. Aiming for the eyes will create serious pain and temporarily blind them as well, which is a great advantage to have.
Deadly street fighting techniques #5: Be conscious of weapons being introduced to a fight. I was recently attacked by someone holding a hammer. Someone nearby yelled out that this opponent had a hammer in his hand. I didn’t realize this because of the shear chaos during the fight. I used this tip to make sure he never got a second chance to attack me with his hammer. I quickly won the fight and got out of the situation.

Street fighting is very different from a normal “fair fight”. The very same martial arts techniques that score points and help you win trophies can cause you to lose your life in street fighting. There is nothing “fair” about street fighting as there are no rules and anything goes in a street fight. Thus, it is essential that you pick up some tips on how to street fight “smart” and effectively as they can mean the difference between life and death.
In a street fight, you should ALWAYS aim for vital areas. The 3 main target zones are the head, neck and groin. The head and neck control the body’s senses and vital functions while the groin is the central area for a large number of sensitive nerves ending. Hence, any successful strikes to these areas could easily disable/stun a person.
For the head, an easy spot to aim for is the eyes and one of the best techniques you can use is the palm heel. Notice how perfectly your palm heel sits in your eye socket. For a street fight, thrust your palm helm right into your aggressor’s eyes. If it connects, it will instantly overwhelm the nervous system and your aggressor will be knocked out immediately! Even if you miss, the impact can easily shock your opponent and give you enough time to run away quickly. This technique is especially useful for smaller person as it can allow him to overwhelm a larger opponent without much effort.
For the neck, aim for the jugular notch – it is a V shape notch at the center where your collar bones meet. Try pushing your finger into your jugular notch and see the effect it has – it’s extremely uncomfortable and you will instinctively choke/gag. For a street fight, close all your fingers together and thrust straight at your aggressor’s jugular notch. As long as one of your fingers is in the notch, push in and down immediately. This will cause your aggressor to collapse instantly and he will not be able to recover quickly – giving ample time to run away quickly!
Remember, street fighting is more than just knowing a few self defence moves; it is also about knowing how to react and knowing how to handle the situation. Discover more tips for street fighting now and learn how to make the correct choice during a street fight!
